Religious Bias

Why is it ok to print offensive cartoons about Christians, or have shows on TV that denigrate the Christian faith, but when Muslims get all pissy about it, our liberal media caves in under the auspices of not wanting to offend their sensibilities. Come on, this is the religion of peace? I realize that we Christians aren't perfect, but we don't have armed thugs storming buildings and threatening anyone who doesn't agree with us with death. We may protest, we may send letters to the editor, we may even band together and make a statement by spending our hard earned dollars elsewhere, but we certainly don't go around promoting terrorism just because a few cartoons offend us. From Powerline "Everything that reasonable people need to know about the cartoon uproar is embodied in the comments of yesterday of Hassan Nasrallah, leader of Hezbollah. He said: "If there had been a Muslim to carry out Imam Khomeini's fatwa against the renegade Salman Rushdie, this rabble who insult our Prophet Mohammed in Denmark, Norway and France would not have dared to do so." And that is it, isn't it? He's given away the game. This is not piety or religion or offense-taking. It is terrorism." There you have it, to these radical Muslim, religion is second to spreading terror around the world.
