Battlelines are drawn
So the battlelines are being drawn on the latest gay marriage debate. On the one side you have Coloradans for Marriage, which includes Focus on the Family among many others. They want to put in the Colorado Constitution (as opposed to the statute is currently is) which would make it much harder to change. On the other side, we have Tim Gill and Coloradans for Fairness and Equality (who apparently can't get a website working) pushing money into having folks go door to door "talking" about discrimination against gays. Hmmm, seems like this will be an interesting battle. Colorado has been more and more liberal as the years have gone by. It used to be a very staunchly conservative state, but with the influx of Californians (no offense, I was born there), family values, marriage, and education are slowly being moved in a leftist swing. We have to pick out battles, this one will be made out as homophobes vs. the rest of Colorado, when at its core, it is about how marriage should be defined based upon true Christian beliefs. Marriage is a bonding of one man and one woman, make no mistake, if the proponents of "gay marriage" get their way now, we will be facing an epidemic of other odd pairings who want to be "married". I have nothing against gays per se, live your life, and I'll live mine. Lets all try and get along and have an intelligent dialog on the issues. No need to shout folks down, or get violent, speak clearly and concisely about the subject.
